The idea for Midas Mindset was conceived in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic. As high school students in the New York City public schooling system, we had to take our learning virtual, for the safety of ourselves and our community. Reminiscing back to our days in elementary and middle school, we tend to think about how beneficial it would have been to learn about the essentials of financial literacy. This made us wonder: why can’t we be the ones to spread this knowledge through virtual seminars? Our team put together material that is both digestible to students and makes learning exciting. We believe that financial literacy is a long-winded road that one needs to be diligently invested in from start to finish. It begins in childhood and continues throughout a person’s life all the way to retirement. Everybody should be prepared for the occasional roadblock and persevere through the ups and downs they may experience on their life journey. Instilling this message in children is especially important because they will carry it with them for the rest of their lives.
